PPAACC NEWS & UPDATES

-2015 Rule/By-Law Change Proposal Form is now available on the FORMS page.  The deadline is May 7.  It must be received by this date.  Please mail 3 days in advance.  They will be posted online May 14.  The meeting will be held May 21 in the Golden Valley HS Band Room @ 6:00pm.

SoloFEST ’14 Schedule


Changes for 2014:

  1. -Units who are a “no show” to a competition, will forfeit their membership for the 2014 season.

  2. -Units may compete in a maximum of 4 competitions plus finals. 

  3. -There is a cap of 90 units at each regular season show.

  4. -Non performing students and adults do not get stamped at check-in.  Only performers who are clearly identifiable by their uniform will be stamped. 

  5. -The gym and the check-in table will now open 30 minutes before the first scheduled performance.

  6. -Professional video equipment is not permitted at any PPAACC contest.  For safety reasons, all recording devices must be hand-held.  No tripods or booms are allowed.

  7. -Some cheer divisions will add a 1 Prep level.

  8. -For percussion, “Performance Analysis” will now be called “Music”.

  9. -For colorguard, “Ensemble Analysis” will now be called “Design Analysis”.

  10. -Percussion rules change regarding rhythmic intent. (See handbook)

  11. -Percussion rules change regarding controlling sounds board. (See handbook)

  12. -Timing changes for certain percussion and colorguard divisions.  (See handbook)

  13. -Changes in eligibility for independent colorguards. (See handbook)
